I imagine that like the CityCycles, they have saddle suspension and with the momentum from its heavier mass, would probably do quite well! Apparently the rear tyre (on the CityCycles at least) is tubeless too for reducing maintenance... ;)
Perhaps best to leave it out of the high mountains, but surely it can't be as impossible as the single speed days - particularly when this lot has already climbed our own local 'mountain'. :p
NB: Just ensure all belongings in the basket/rack are securely fastened as it is very easy to eject something like a loose water bottle, as I once discovered going over a speed bump!
