My first ebike tour starts next week. I built myself a spare battery from old recycled laptop batteries donated by work during a tech refresh. Managed to get nearly 100 good 18650 cells and wired them in 7p13s config. Estimated 720Ah of power. Along with the original 480ah battery I estimate the range to be over 100kms. More than enough to last me all day every day.

I have 2 routes planned, one 320kms and one 500kms. I'll see how I get on and will work out if the 180kms additional leg is worth it. Heading up the Sunshine Coast and exploring around there. Its a first for me in many ways but its a real long distance test of the ebike and home made battery and as I've never been bike camping before its a test for me too.

You seem quite handy with a soldering iron and a multi-meter ... good work. I'll be interested to hear how it goes.
