Bike maintenance day!
It's been a fun day...
I had a couple of boxes on bike bits sitting around the house that arrived early this week from a wiggly establishment somewhere overseas.
What better way to spend a nice sunny winters day but fixing bikes!
First up is my roadie, needed a new freehub body which meant a cleaning and repacking the hubs. It also was due for a new chain. All done! It's shifting and rolling so much better now.

When Velocipedeans Travelled Our Roads
Sometimes I go searching for old stuff left behind by history, maybe because a lot of the things I grew up with, and am comfortable with, are becoming part of that ‘stuff’ left behind by history.

Panniers make the commute so much more enjoyable!
I picked up these awesome panniers from Velogear and gave them their first test yesterday on the ride to work (20km's Durack to Taringa)
I think I always used to dismiss the idea of panniers and luggage in general thinking it looked a bit daggy but I've really come round to the idea. And after yesterday's ride to work there's no looking back.
