Central Otago Rail Trail

OK all folders...I can report that riding a Brompton M3 on the Otago Central Rail Trail in mid-winter was an experience unparalleled. All weather was experienced - sun, ice, snow, wind -however we had layers to spare. 

Otago Pinot Noir and accommodation with roaring log fires, added to the whole adventure.

Bikes travelled in Brompton soft travel bags as normal baggage with additional padding made from additional clothing. Not very professional I realise - but it worked.

Thanks Lyn, I actually don't have my folder yet so I'm a bit premature joining your group! My wife and I have been waiting 8 weeks now for our Brompton M6Ls so they should arrive any time now. Will post some photos when we get them. We are also planning a 2 month trip round Europe in July & August by Brompton and train so will hopefully have some good content to post!

with the "machine"This morning i will take it to Springwood and to Anaconda at

Slacks Creek. That is a 18 km round trip. I will come up to Wynnum on Sunday which is something i often do. Might see you there. Have a nice day
