Riding from Chermside to CBD?

Started this discussion. Last reply by David Feb 27, 2016. 3 Replies

So, I'm riding in the Cycle of Giving tomorrow, but being a southsider, I have no idea how I'll get from the finish in Chermside back to my side of town. I definitely want to ride it, but don't fancy…Continue

Cop insisted on seeing drivers licence

While riding my bike on the road one night a few weeks back, I was stopped by a cop at an RBT. They asked whether I had a driver's licence on me. I said that I did, and they asked to see it. I was surprised at the request, so asked whether I was required to show it. They said I was, because since I was riding on the road, I was subject to -- and this is the part I didn't quite catch -- something called maybe "CAROMS" or "TAROMS". Although I felt sure that I wasn't required to show my licence, I…See More

I have:

* a Bianchi Intenso Dama Bianca roadbike for fun on weekends
* another Reid Vintage Ladies 7-Speed Classic cruiser bought as a backup for the first
About Me :
I started cycling to work as a way to improve my fitness. Since then, I've also discovered that it saves money and is more pleasant than public transport.

A few months later I was enjoying cycling so much that I bought a roadbike to do longer rides on the weekend, and participate in cycling events.

I really love the sense of community on-line and in real life that I've discovered cycling! :)
