Hi all Well I completed the Brisbane 50k Sat and really enjoyed it, aching after tho.  When I'm out cycling normally 45k seems easy, but this route seemed harder, more hilly. Or maybe the buzz from…Continue

Tag along

Hi all Are there any cycling groups around or near Springfield lakes that wouldn't mind me tagging long. I have the Brissie to Bay on the 24 and need a bit of a push.  On my own I just plod along and prob don't push myself enough. The furthest I've cycled is 55km, but willing to go further. I'm no pro and ride a hybid. Thanks Dianne =)See More

Cent Hwy Detour

Omg who in their right mind put a cycle detour through a industrial estate where there is a constant flow of heavy good vehicles.  I'm surprised I made it out of there alive!!! I'm sure they could have found a safer route. Never mind the rest of my cycling journey was a nice one. I seem to be managing 50km quite comfortably now. Next stage 70km and then hopefully I should manage the 100km in June for Brissie to the bay cycle :)

Is thankful to Goldcross Cycling at Browns Plains for sorting out my pedals and cleats. They really took the time to make sure I was ok. Even put my bike on the stand so I could practice unclipping my foot off the pedals, after falling with the bike cos I couldn't unclip in time. I really appreciate the effort they put into helping me. Thanks again Dianne. See More

Hi all

Happy New year.

I fancy trying the shoe clip system, I've been told they are more efficient when cycling long distance. This year I aim to do the Brisbane to Gold Coast cycle, so need to increase my training and thought they may help.

Are they worth getting and if so where can I get a cheap set. I don't want to pay too much because they may not be suitable for me. I would be grateful for some feedback.

Thank…

Hi

Well I made it to the City from Springfield Lakes :). But got lost twice, once at Darra and again at Sinnamon. I got to Darra train station and lost the bike path and at Sinnamon I just turned too soon. I know where I went wrong at Sinnamon, but not Darra. My phone states I did 43km, phew. I cheated on the way back and took the train from the city to Wacol and cycled home. One bit at a time :)
