Agree with Lydia, Veneziano is well worth a stop if you are in the area.

-> David what is the loop to red cliff? I rode up there today but had the same route there and back.

Will check out the coffee for sure though

If you are working around the city or in the West End area, definitely drop by Veneziano Caffe (369 Montague Road). There is plenty of space to sit, read or chat. The coffee is amazing and there are bicycle racks just outside. You can bring your kids too, they have cute little tables and chairs for them. :)

Will have to try Piaf next time I'm in the area, last few coffees I had at the Garage were horrible.

For those doing the Redcliffe Peninsla loop, drop into Cafe Nada at Scarborough. Very nice coffee (use Di Bella beans) and you dont have the construction zone of Redcliffe as a view.

At South Bank I am a big fan of Piaf, not as busy as The Garage and the coffee is fantastic.

I am new to bike riding but was told about a great little cafe at Woody Point called Something Moore-ish Cafe.  They are in Lilla street which is just off Oxley Avenue, across from Crockatt Park.  They can accomodate bikes, when you sit outside you have views of the bay and the staff are wonderful.  They serve Octaine Coffee and the breakfasts are delicious.  Would recommend giving them a call if you think a large group will stop by but when I asked, they were more than happy to accomodate.

I got dragged up Mt Nebo by my son on the Monday holiday (after Anzac Day). I have been up there several times before and sadly the coffee shop at Nebo Village never seems to open until about 8am and we're usually there about 7:15am ... but just found on the Monday that there is another Cafe about 250m further on that opens earlier. The coffee will probably not win coffee of the year but after the 19km slog up the hill it tasted great. I'll be back.

It seems to be pretty well known but Doug's Seafood Cafe on Flinders Parade on the waterfront at Sandgate is pretty good. They are well geared up to cater for an influx of cyclists. They usually have plenty of kitchen and wait staff on duty so service is quick and after 35km the coffee tastes awesome. I've tried a few other cafe's in the area and generally the service is ordinary compared to Doug's.

I know where you mean now. If you'd just said Southbank I'd have known :)

I saw Hello Garry the other day, I'll go check it out.
