Hi Christine :) I'm friends with Jeff Moo who put me onto this website. I'm really not trying to take away from the Brisbane Cyclist site but just also wanted to make any girls on here aware that we have a large, active and dynamic community of girls who do all sorts of riding of all ages and abilities on Facebook called 'Brisbane Chicks Who Ride Bikes". If you were interested, I'd be happy to approve you!

Hi, is anyone active in this group?

Hi Tae, I found this a problem too and ended up tilting the front of my seat down slightly and it's made all the difference. Now the pressure is more on my buttocks. You may recall I was going to sell my Gazelle because I found it uncomfortable but after doing this I decided to keep it. It may not work for every bike though. The fancy pants sound good David, and I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried them.

Tae,

Oct-Nov 12 RideOn mag has a writeup on women's knicks. Top recommendation was Assos F1 13 Lady S5 ($299!) with a score of 99%, 82% was Netti Ladies Elite Bibs ($150), 74% recommended was Ground Effect Sirens ($149). 6 were tested.

Oops, forgot to add: the shorts are Giordana Silverline waist shorts.

Hi Tae, I bought those chamois-lined cycling undies from Urbanist on Kickstarter. They'll be mailed next week so still a bit to go for an evaluation.
My usual bike shorts are really good for this kind of thing though: good padding but not too diaper-like or thick, and the shape is great: soft high back, waist-high, very short comfy legs with rubber-less wide soft leg cuffs that don't squeeze and stay in place. They're perfect under a skirt.

With my new bike and therefore new posture, I think I need to finally invest in some undershorts or something to protect my lady parts.

I had a quick squiz at some cycling sites and have no idea what a decent brand is.

I want them for under my jeans for now, and under shorts for my tour. I was looking at MTB shorts too - they have the padded inner - but again, no idea.

Love your suggestions.
