For ages I've been yearning to go on one of the Woody Point rides but the 0730 start at Nundah makes it real tough coming from Ipswich.  Any chance the March 4th start time could be something like 0830? Please?

The issue is heat. By the time you get to Woody Point and have breakfast its pretty hot riding back. Particularly if you have to ride all the way back on the home west side of town.

I do sympathise - back when I owned a Velomobile I had to ride it to the start from Forest Lake. Means leaving home at 5am (oh I miss those days! - David!!!)

There's a group ride being planned for March 4, details are on the BRR facebook page but for those not fb-ing, the plan is meet at Nundah criterium track with the ride being to Woody Point and return. Bike paths, low traffic roads, and no hills, 7:30 am depart.

Not on facebook?  Feel free to respond here for more details.

And it was a glorious day too, although the wind was a bit nippy to us confirmed Queenslanders.  I noticed the Velonauts didn't seem to fell the cold...

A few velomobiles headed north to Scarborough today, very pleasant ride. Managed to roll with 2 x Mangos, 1x DF velomobile, 1x Peregrine on Birk, 1x M5 high racer and 1x Performer High racer.
