Cycling in Brisbane Australia
I've had a great weekend of riding.
Finally got back to racing and came in second. Happy with that!
The today got a really nice 87kms out to Wynnum, Wellington Point and Cleveland. It was a perfect morning for it, a bit chilly but clear blue sky and the water looked amazing.
How was yours ?

Permalink Reply by Doc Embrey on July 29, 2012 at 11:35pm Well, it was a good day in the garden. I got sick then I got hurt and I think I have ridden two days in the last month, but I reckon I might just manage to ride in to town tomorrow :D

But none shall see him, for Master Ninja shall be like the wind in the forest.
(How are the injuries, Doc, all on the road to recovery?)

About three-quarters to being OK now - can ride a bike with higher bars now, and probably drop bar bikes next week.
Disappointed though, that I'm not better already, and also disappointed that I'm not as indestructible as I think I am :(

I've been fighting off ...something... now for what feels like months, no energy, when I ride I'm not able to push any sort of distance. Frustrating. I'm just having to give it a complete break for a few weeks and then kick into it again as the cold air in the mornings haven't helped.

Sunday looked AWESOME too.
Permalink Reply by Shaun Moran on July 30, 2012 at 9:26am Did some short training rides on Sat and Sunday with the Missus. Set a new Strava PR on a hill near home on Sat and realised I was only 4 seconds away from being KOM. So like a fool tried to beat my time on the Sunday.
Trouble was we didnt leave till 1pm and heat was an issue. Ended up being 1 second slower than my Sat time and got a max heart rate of 100%. Needless to say I was shagged when I got to the top of the hill!
I've got the bloody Strava bug now - Damn you Damien :-)
