Cycling in Brisbane Australia
The CM has launched an interactive map allowing readers to update traffic hotspots. Cannot see why cyclists can't add their beefs as well :) This may be an opportunity for *all* road users to vent their spleen at traffic danger zones!
I've already added Kedron Brook as a place for dangerous overtaking and 'dooring' from parked cars along the BAZ. Wwnder if it will be approved.

Permalink Reply by Paul Stockwell on February 17, 2012 at 7:37am Did you give it that name, Stephen? Really love to get that term out into the general public's lexicon.
Great idea, Aaron! Almost subverting the original intent of the site to something tacitly useful :)
Permalink Reply by StephenW on February 17, 2012 at 8:13am I did give it the AWDC name, but it's not up on the http://www.couriermail.com.au/traffichotspots web page yet. I used Dickson St, Wooloowin 4030, corner of McIntyre St as the location.
Come to think of it, I don't see anything about cycling on Kedron Brook Road either. Wonder if it's a conspiracy?
No, mine hasn't been approved yet, although there is a cycling related issue uploaded for the southern end of Kedron Brook Rd which I entirely agree with. I also added a second listing for the AW Death Corridor, in case they only upload when more than one complaint is received. Funnily enough the CM website has the "it takes two to tango" advertisement on its homepage.
Permalink Reply by Travis Franklin on February 17, 2012 at 9:05pm I added the main drag of Mount Isa as a “hot” spot. It didn’t get approved
