Exact Radiology Ipswich Cyclocross

Ipswich Cycling Club are holding our second annual cyclocross event on Saturday, July 16th.  It's a fun day out with racing as serious or as silly as you want.  But not easy racing by any means.  It'll give your heart rate monitors a thrashing.
For those of you who missed last years event, cyclocross is like cross-country running, but with bikes, over a variety of surfaces like grass, dirt, and mud.  You will have to carry your bike up or over something at some point.  Races are run like crits.  You can ride any sort of bike, as long as it has brakes. Mountain bike, Road bike, penny-farthing, beat-up old posty bike, or even a cyclocross bike if you're lucky enough to have one ; )
It's a great sport for spectators, too.  The event is at Jim Finimore Park at One Mile, with a covered grand-stand, toilets, food and drinks.  Traditionally cyclocross events are incomplete without frites (hot chips in Belgium) and beer, and cowbells.  These will all be available - good Belgian and Dutch beers no less.  Entry online at CQ, and if you don't have a racing license you can purchase a cheap day license at the race - more info at website.
